Case: Elisa Live Stage
We at Votemo kept looking at artists streaming concerts from empty concert halls, feeling quite surreal and out of place. We also noticed that there are a lot of pre-recorded concerts available for the audience to view and the experience of the lives that were done was not really any different from the pre-recorded ones. So together with concert organizers we put our minds to work on how we could create a more live-like experience both for the audience and for the artist and the idea of interactive applause was born.
The concept was tested on Elisa Live Stage Ott Lepland’s live show on April 24, 2020.
The audience was able to express their support to the artist by using the reaction icons. The intensity of the final applause depended on the number of clicks on the applause emoji.
